About the Project
Our manufacturing client is undertaking a large-scale enterprise transformation involving PLM-enabled process changes and broader digital initiatives. The program impacts business processes, system usage, roles, and organizational structures across multiple regions. The Change Management Consultant will play a critical role in ensuring successful adoption by focusing on the people side of change.
Note: This role requires regular on-site visits to client locations across Germany, depending on project phase and stakeholder needs.
Key Responsibilities
Define and execute an integrated change management strategy covering change, communications, and training activities across the program
Assess organizational readiness and perform structured change impact analyses to identify groups requiring targeted interventions
Identify potential resistance points and proactively design mitigation actions to address concerns, risks, and adoption barriers
Build and maintain stakeholder maps and engagement plans across business and IT audiences
Establish, mobilize, and coach change agent and champion networks to support adoption at scale
Design role-based training approaches using proven learning and content development methodologies
Coordinate closely with client teams to develop realistic training schedules, cohorts, and delivery plans
Ensure flexibility of the change approach by adjusting tactics based on project evolution, impacts, and feedback
Track progress and provide regular status updates, insights, and recommendations to program leadership
Lead and mentor a distributed OCM team, including junior and senior consultants, ensuring quality and consistency of delivery
Apply recognized change management best practices and frameworks, integrating change, training, and communications into a cohesive end-user experience
Required Skills and Experience
More than 5 years of professional experience in Organizational Change Management, ideally within large, complex transformation programs
Proven experience supporting digital transformation, system implementations (ERP, HRIS, PLM), or operating model changes
Strong knowledge of change management methodologies; experience with ADKAR, PROSCI certification preferred, CCMP an advantage
Solid understanding of software implementation lifecycles and delivery models (Waterfall, Agile)
Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders at all organizational levels and influence without direct authority
Experience working in global delivery models, including collaboration with offshore teams
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with strong facilitation and active listening capabilities
Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex change impacts into clear, actionable plans
Very good command in English (B2 level minimum) is required for daily communication within international teams
Good command of German (B1 level or higher) is required due to regular cooperation with stakeholders and on-site work in Germany
